I (they/she) am an educator, writer, and future librarian whose purpose is rooted in community and liberation. I believe classrooms and libraries can — must — be spaces of critical hope, empowerment, and love for all.
I currently teach Filipinx studies at James Denman Middle School through Pin@y Educational Partnerships. I was formerly an intern at the Bulosan Center for Filipinx Studies, the Santa Barbara Independent, and KCRW 88.7.
I am working towards a Master’s in Library and Information Science at Pratt Institute, graduating in 2023. I received my Bachelor’s in Asian American Studies from UC Santa Barbara in 2020.
Shaped by the sticky heat of Manila and the San Francisco fog, I dream of freedom for my two homes and for all oppressed peoples.
